Good morning blog followers,
I hope you’re all ready for March Madness (Live scoring app installed on smart phone, check! ESPN pulled up on browser at work, check! Obsessive bracket monitoring set to begin, check!)!!! Of course, I hope you’re also all ready to enjoy the Spring-like weather that’s come to our part of North Carolina this week. It really gets no better than this in March!
Today, our blog’s spotlight is on Tour Old Wilmington, a company that provides various types of tours in and around the downtown area.
Tour Old Wilmington is one of Wilmington, NC’s locally owned and operated small businesses (and our most faithful blog and social media followers already know that we LOVE to support small business growth in Wilmington!). The company is run by Rusty and Lori Erwin, and it’s been in operation since 2009. In addition to the company’s main focus – historical walking tours – they also offer the following:
- Haunted Cotton Exchange
- Ghost Hunters of Wilmington
- History of the Cape Fear River
- Historic and Haunting Oakdale Cemetery
- Ghostly Buildings of Wilmington, NC
A Haunted Cotton Exchange Tour being filmed by our local FOX television station
Tours are available 7 days / week, and advance reservations are accepted. Prices for the various tours average ~$12/person (people 12 and under are hosted for FREE). Tour Old Wilmington also offers group, private, and bus tours for those who may wish to experience Wilmington’s history with a group of friends or family. If you’re interested in learning more about Tour Old Wilmington’s current schedules for their various tours, call (910) 409-4300 or email Rusty and Lori at info.touroldwilmington@gmail.com .
Thanks for taking the time to read our post today and please let us know if you take a tour with Tour Old Wilmington! We hope that you will do just that AND that you’ll learn something you didn’t previously know about the Cape Fear area!
Have a wonderful Thursday!
